This book seems heartbreaking but also extremely powerful and important. The poem at the opening of the book immediately sets the tone and shows the author's beautiful and smart writing. The content in this book is definitely upsetting. The author smartly writes in these little comments that are incredibly informative. The excerpt alone opened my eyes to ways in which women are mistreated that I hadn't even realized. The cover is pretty and eye-catching.
