As a reader, I like to be given the option of forming my own opinions based on the circumstances of the story. I think this is especially important for books aimed at a younger audience. Based on the first few chapters I feel like this book has a clear agenda without much room for open discussion. The main character is extremely (and understandably) angry, which might make it difficult for a reader to connect with her. I think this story will cover a lot of tough ground and I feel like this type of book is important, but I’m not sure I like the direction this one is going.
