Hertbreaking, Funny and Uplifting Story of Coming of Age Story

I absolutely LOVE Gayle Forman! She is such an amazing author and she did not disappoint one bit in this amazing book! This story is about a failing bookstore and a teen attempting to figure out his future. Yet it is also about dealing with what life can throw our way unexpectedly. The main character, Aaron, deals with loss and grief yet manages to turn it into a positive learning & growing experience. He manages to embrace the hurt he feels and use it to mature into a better person. Initially, Aaron seems somewhat narrow-minded and mad at the world, but he slowly learns that life can not be planned and even though the inevitable might be just beyond the horizon, he can not control what eventually happens. I absolutely love that the chapters are each named after a different book; additionally, I love how Forman interweaves novels and other stories like memoirs into the actual story. I thoroughly enjoy reading books about books and the intertwined stories made it even better. Kudos to Gayle Forman for writing another wonderful novel.
