At first glance, the cover is what drew me in, what caught my interest the most is the subject of dinosaurs and how our main character, Aaron, can only read about the demise of the dinosaurs. I'm a big dinosaur fan so pretty much no matter the context, you've got a fan.
What I really enjoyed about the setup and beginning of the book is the fact that not only is this a father son storyline dealing with grief but the reality of book selling in a world dominated by Amazon and chains. I am guilty myself of buying from chains and occasionally Amazon, but seeing the impact and hurt from Ira, Aaron's father, really puts in perspective how fast things are changing and how hard it is to adapt to those who did not grow up with this much change so quickly.
