A big thanks to BookishFirst and Farrar for sending me an early finished copy in exchange for an honest review.

We All Fall Down by Rose Szabo is a YA dark fantasy novel, following the many perspectives of a group of characters as they deal with a tumultuous world and mysterious death. All while hitting you over the head with the fact that these characters are queer. Which only really needed to be established once, and left at that. Since the very first lines of the summary state the fact that it's about a group of queer teens.

I really liked Szabo's debut, What Big Teeth, as it was a perfect mix between Maggie Stiefvater's crazy urban fantasy, and the monstrosity normality that Vanessa Len's Only a Monster provided.

And I really wanted to like this book, but it just wasn't there for me. I mean the writing was pretty, but the characters fell flat and the plot got a bit tangled and undecipherable at times.
