We get thrown right into the thick of things in this queer fantasy offering from Szabo. There's been a revolution, and now many years later a handful of teens are converging on the city, where they will set the next cycle of heroism into motion. The world-building seems really interesting, what with the idea of people playing pre-ordained roles and River City grafted onto the United States. Haven't made my mind up about the characters yet though.
