The first thing that drew me to this book was the cover.
I'm a sucker for a good cover, and this book is no exception. I can't tell exactly who by the First Look, but the person on the left? I need to know more about them. They are the sole reason I picked up this excerpt.
The first 35 pages of this book are definitely interesting. While I can't 100% sure tell what is going on, there's a lot of details that are catching my eye.
From what I'm understanding, there's this story that has to play out every few years. The last key players in this story failed and must now help out the new key players actually "win" the story. I'm interested in seeing both how exactly they failed and how the newcomers win.
There are some archetypes in this book that I'm also interested in seeing in greater detail. While this First Look introduces concepts such as the "Hero" and "Maiden", I haven't quite picked up on what exactly they would be used for.
Still, I'm very intrigued by this story, and I would love to learn more about the lore and plot of this book!
