For readers who might think they have read enough psychological thrillers to be able to predict what is going to happen in novels, make room for one more because Lisa Jewell's WATCHING YOU will keep you in suspense. The book opens with the police finding a body, and then the story flashes back with Joey (a female) finding the love of her life on the Spanish Mediterranean island of Ibiza. As soon as Joey and her new husband take up residence in the home of Joey's brother, Jack, one senses that some friction is going to develop. Jewell does a great job of making this an interesting story with regular life (siblngs, in-law conflict, teenagers, and nosy neighbors) as well as the mystery aspect. I was not familiar with Jewell's other books and now plan to read more from this author. I liked the fact that this story wove together different points of view.
