I read this book looking for a good twist as all of these post Gone Girl thrillers seem to tout, but this one didn't really do it for me. There were decent enough twists and turns, but nothing really shocking. It was a decent read, I enjoyed the story, but I never got the wow, moment that I was looking for. I read a lot of similar novels and this one will likely blend in with the rest of the ones that are good, but not great. I'm not sure what was missing, to be honest. Possibly just lacked the wow factor. Maybe certain books in this same vein have busted the curve and now few novels can live up to the real winners for me. I'm going to keep reading some of the author's other works and see if I just didn't love this one book, or see if she's just not my writer.
