Lisa Jewell always delivers an amazingly suspenseful read and Watching You is no exception. It follows the secrets and obsessions behind Melville Heights, one of Bristol's poshest neighborhoods. Tom Fitwilliam is one of those men everyone admires. As headmaster brought in to help the failing local academy, he has loads of charm and is handsome enough to become the infatuation of many local women and female students. When Jenna Tripp, one of his students, becomes suspicious of his intentions with her best mate, Bess, she uncovers buried secrets that will change the lives of those living in Melville Heights.
I've read several of the author's previous books but this is by far my favorite. The pacing was perfect and never seemed to lag. I loved the characters! They were flawed, but most were likable, which made them seem as if the could be my real life neighbors. The suspense built in a quick way and remained steady through the rest of the book. Overall, a five star read for me!
