I really am a Lisa Jewell super-fan at this point.
This book had everything I wanted from a thriller/ who dunnit, and it kept you guessing the entire time. Though I did guess the twist, it didn’t detract from my love of the overall story.
I couldn’t put it down, I couldn’t stop turning the pages.

The red tassel.

At first, profoundly sad about Joets restlessness in her marriage and her lack of interest in her seemingly sweet husband.
But as in any thriller, things aren’t what they seem.
Jack is such a solid character, I kept trying to find personality flaws but couldn’t. I think that’s a great twist in a thriller, a flawless character. Because you keep thinking, nope it’s gonna be the perfect one.
I’d love to read about Joey and jack and Freddie and Tom in a book written maybe ten years later.
