I have liked every book I have read by Lisa Jewell. She is a great storyteller, and a great writer too. This book was no different!

Here's a quick synopsis:
You’re back home after four years working abroad, new husband in tow.

You’re keen to find a place of your own. But for now you’re crashing in your big brother’s spare room.

That’s when you meet the man next door.

He’s the head teacher at the local school. Twice your age. Extraordinarily attractive. You find yourself watching him.

All the time.

But you never dreamed that your innocent crush might become a deadly obsession.

Or that someone is watching you.

Like a typical thriller, there are characters that re trying to throw you, the reader, off. Some good red herrings as you read too. This one kind of felt like Big Little Lies and The Woman in the Window. Maybe because of the neighborhood setting? The story is told through multiple points of view, so it can feel confusing, but Jewell does a pretty good job of helping you keep it all straight. Take a bit though.

Overall, I'd recommend this one if you like thrillers. It's not my favorite Jewell book, but it's a good one!
