It was okay but I was disappointed

I have mixed emotions about this book. First of all, I went into this book expecting something along the lines of your typical ghost/haunting story. When you begin this book you quickly realize that this is not the case... ghosts seem to be an essentially accepted phenomenon- almost a regular occurrence. I was not expecting that based on the book summary, but I find that idea an intriguing concept. You could do a lot plot-wise in a universe where ghosts are common and accepted. This book went in a different direction than I would have, but it was still good.

Everyone was almost too friendly much too quickly for it to feel natural in my eyes. The relationship between Mila and Lee particularly bothered me. I feel like that relationship was completely unrealistic.

This book was very heavy emotionally, which isn't something I typically go for. If that style was more to my taste, I am sure I would have absolutely loved this book. In the end, I was just a little disappointed.

While I had some issues with this book, I did enjoy reading it. It kept me interested throughout the whole thing.

As a side note... The cover is beautiful but has absolutely nothing to do with the book itself, so I do not quite understand it. I guess the whole point was to attract potential readers with its beauty-- the cover is what got me to read the book description so it worked for me!
