Mila, after aging out of the foster system, just wants to belong somewhere. This yearning to belong is an underlying theme throughout the course of the book and by the time I finished it, kind of left me with that same yearning.

This was a really quick read, and you don't really get to know the characters really, besides Mila. However, it was entertaining and kept me wanting to keep reading to find out what happens and to really just understand.

This was an interesting take as far as ghost stories go since the ghosts aren't the main focus but yet they somehow are the most essential part to the story.

I wish we got to know the other characters better, it would help, as the reader, to feel more connected to the story and feel more connected to the resolution of the story.

Overall, it was a nice, quick read and I would recommend it if you just wanted some fast to read.
