After a few years in the foster care system and finishing high school, Mila is ready for a new life and to meet new people. She is offered a job as an intern at an isolated farm that also supports foster kids and she jumps at the opportunity to go. There she meets a cast of characters that make her feel welcomed and at home. Lee, her pupil, is the only one in his age group for her to teach but she is determined to help him in every way she can, especially with his panic attacks that sometimes grip him.
The other interns welcome her warmly and the owners are nothing but loving and doting. Upon arrival however they ask her if she's afraid of ghosts. The farm is haunted by spirits and while they seem harmless, their presence is bringing up memories Mila was more than happy top leave behind in her past.
