I absolutely loved this book. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I wish it was a little longer, perhaps to provide details of the other characters hauntings or how the farm came to be a place of healing.
I found the writing style very easy to follow, while providing context for delicate subject matters. Anyone who is haunted by their past or current struggles should read this book as an uplifting escape. I think my favorite part of the book was Mila’s friendship with Billy and Liz. When Liz climbs in the tub to hold her through a breakdown filled me with so much warmth. This author brought to life true human connections without relying on sex to keep the reader’s attention. I find have found myself thinking about the farm and Mila’s story long after I finished reading the book itself. Thank you for sending me this gem of a book!
