Well, I’ve done it again. I’ve read a book in a series without realizing it, so I didn’t start with the first one. But don’t worry! Watch Her read as a standalone, and I could sense that there were some back stories that I was supposed to know, but I still didn’t feel that I was missing out! In this book, we dive into Prescott University and the family behind it. Maxine is who really runs the university behind the scenes, though she isn’t in the family herself. When she’s asked to hunt down some student data (did I mention she’s a librarian and is great at finding people?), she stumbles across a secret the family was trying to hide. I really enjoyed jumping among the multiple points of view, and I liked trying to figure out the secrets before they were revealed. Overall, it was a fun read, it kept my attention, and I always love multiple POV and short chapters! Thank you so much to Books Forward for my ARC – even if it came after the pub date (#thankscovid)!
