There are so many good points I could make about this Thriller that I'm not sure where to begin.

First of all, having not read a Hester Thursby novel before this (shame on me, I know) I truly expected this one to be a cute, cozy mystery about a librarian who helps her cop friends out in some small capacity. It's not that at all. This mystery is dark, and the characters are deep and incredibly realistic.

In fact, I was so impressed by the character complexity and development that I could write an entire review based on that alone, but I will spare you that because I don't want to give away any key plot points.

Which brings me to my next point: the twists in this novel are non-stop and completely realistic. It felt like every time I turned a page I was finding a whole new perspective on this story in the best way possible.

I'm not psychic, but I definitely see more awards in Edwin Hill's future.
