When I first picked this book up, I wasn't completely aware that it was a third book in a series (not so much a series I guess, but a third Hester Thursby mystery). That being said, Watch Her was great in and of itself as a standalone novel. While I didn't absolutely feel the need to (or feel like I was missing anything important) read the previous novels in the Thursby mysteries, reading this book definitely made me want to go and add them to my TBR for later. This book was definitely a thrilling one and it captured my attention from the first page until the last. Unknown to me authors are a hit or a miss and this one was definitely a hit. This book is filled with twists and turns that make the reader want to stay engaged because you can't just leave it not knowing what comes next, even if that means staying up into the late hours of the night to hopefully get your answers.
