I have mixed feelings about this sneak peek-- the cover is generic, but the synopsis sounds like a really great mystery. The opening pages were so heavily laced with 90s references (Friends, Seinfeld, Lady Diana's death) that it felt like pop culture name dropping instead of establishing a scene and plot. However, once time jumped 27 years and I enjoyed the present-day story and felt it had lots of potential. In short, the sneak peek felt too short for me to make a judgement call on the book.
