Energetic and suspenseful
Prior to this First Look, I had never heard of Hester Thursby. I'm ashamed that I hadn't! She's an intriguing character with an admirable job (who doesn't love a good librarian protagonist?), surrounded by equally interesting people in her circle.
From the first sentence, Edwin Hill's "Watch Her" is brimming with suspense, well-defined characters, and believable dialogue -- which is sometimes hard to come by in this genre! Although we are not entirely sure what mystery will be revealed, there are plenty of compelling reasons to find out and I look forward to doing just that!
