War Girls follows two sisters separated by ear in Nigeria and their journeys back to each other. But throw in some Black Panther vibes. And a little Pacific Rim too. Because these aren't ordinary soldiers but soldiers in huge mech robots and badass female warriors.

This book is told from each sisters' perspective over many years. I found myself not rooting for each side of the war, but instead, just rooting for each sister. The characters were dynamic but still flawed, making them more loveable.

This book was a solid four star book for me but the ending was a little abrupt. Or maybe I was just hoping the end would take a different path. But a good futuristic feel in a story about loyalty and freedom.
