What I Liked:
Writing Style. My favorite aspect of the novel was the writing style. It was the main reason I kept reading despite not being a fan of the genre. I will be checking out Tochi Onyebuchi's other novels.
Characters. The novel goes between two points of view, sisters, Onyii and Ify. I enjoyed both of their points of view and felt that they were well-written.
What I Disliked:
Plot/Genre. I struggled to connect with the main plot and world-building in the novel. I found myself reading this one for a while because I struggled to pick it up. I'm not a huge fan of science fiction or action based novels so I did not enjoy those scenes in the novel.
I recommend checking out this well-done science fiction novel.
