"Wake Up, Wanda Wiley" started out with such great promise. The story line and the plot were so original that I felt disappointed when the author seemed to have failed to deliver on what promised to be a exceptionally unique novel.
It begins with the reader suspending belief and entering into the subconscious mind of the fictional author as she struggles with the removal of her heroine from all of her romance novels. Oh such an interesting premise. I probably got my hopes up way too much on the ability of the author to deliver a story that would make sense. It began to unravel for me to the point where I was confused and had to reread several parts to gauge what was really going on in the story line.
