Wake Up, Wanda Wiley started out fun and cute. Characters from different novels are in the same head of one author. One knows she's a character, the other doesn't know he is a character. Their tete-a-tetes were funny and enjoyable but over far too soon. The real world of Wanda Wiley was not so enjoyable. I would've like to have stayed in her head more than we did. Wanda wasn't even the main character of her life. Luckily, the book was a very quick read, almost a novella really. I read it in an afternoon. It's not something I would want to read a series of so hopefully it won't be going on that direction. The cover doesn't do anything for the book either. I've never read any anything by this author before and nothing makes me want to read another of his books.
