I don’t always enjoy when authors write about authors (though I pretty well always love when authors write about readers, so I might be selfish), but this title lived up to its wacky name. The author in the book has become someone who wanders through her life on autopilot; while deep down she recognizes that she’s made bad choices, she medicates rather than do the uncomfortable work of making new decisions. It takes some characters the author has partially written to jumpstart the author’s own life. When they start going off on their own tangents, she is finally able to create a new path of her own. I highly recommend this novel for a light, fun visit to an almost Wonderland-like storybook land.
