I was drawn to this book, "Wake Up, Wanda Wiley" after reading the excerpt. I thought the concept of the story was very interesting and unique; definitely not something I had ever seen before. I thought the unique nature of the book was one of the strong parts of the book. It was fun to see stereotypical literary tropes being played with deliberately. The progression of the story could be a little slow at times, in my opinion, but overall the pacing did not seriously detract from my enjoyment of the book.
Ultimately, I think this book was a quick, light read. It was a lot of fun, which is sometimes exactly what you need in a book.
