This is a hard review to write because I was not able to finish the book. One thing that I have learned, which I implemented last year, is that I do not want to pressure myself to finish books that I am not enjoying.

I read the first 55 pages before I put it down. I knew I was going to have difficulty finishing it when a couple of days went by and I had no interest in picking it back up.
When it first began, I was interested and intrigued by the story. The writing is also very beautiful. However, the pacing was too slow for me.
In hopes of picking the book up to complete, I ended up skimming the last 40 pages. I was able to get an understanding of the story and I felt okay about the ending.
I do plan on giving this to a friend who will like it.
