Overall, I really enjoyed this book. There was a lot of action and it was really interesting.
What the author did really well was writing about setting. In this way, it was extremely similar to Where the Crawdads Sing. I felt as though the descriptions of the setting were fairly lengthy, but it really helped me to understand Cadie and how it drove some of her decisions. Also, the characters were extremely well written. I felt as though I had a good idea of how they all were including the side characters. The author weaved all of them together in a way that was intriguing. Finally, I really enjoyed how the author chose to address climate change and other issues. I felt as though the point was well made in a way that both added to the story and made great points about social issues in a way that was understandable. My only complaint about this book is that it felt a little repetitive towards the end.
