Well-Written, Pretty Cover, Good Subject Matter...Just Not for Me

If you're a fan of mysteries or have an interest in the environment, this would definitely be an interesting book for you. There's an awesome atmospheric quality to the book. Overall the writing in this excerpt is great. On top of that, the cover, as many other reviewers have noted, is gorgeous.

All of that being said, I just had a hard time getting in to this story. I think that's simply because it's not in my usual wheelhouse of books.
