I have been hearing about this book and had added it to my TBR list so I’m jumped at this chance to get a sneak peek. I could not be happier and more excited for the rest of this story.
In this first chapter we’re introduced to Virgil Wander, before we get a chance to know who he is his world is literally sent crashing. We’re with him as he walks back into a life that doesn’t quite feel like his. I want to know what’s going on. Oh, and I absolutely want to live in his home above the Empress. (I also want Bakelite sconces for my house now)
We also meet Rune, mysterious with a connection to the town that with one sentence I can tell will have a giant impact
I can’t wait to plunge in.
