Trouble relating to it.

I had troubles really getting into this book. I loved the premise of it but just could not get sucked into it. The story and character did not vibe well with me. I know this book will be great for a lot of people but it was not for me. The writing style itself was good. The movie theater aspect was cool. I may revisit the book later and see if I can get more into it.

Virgil was a young man who had got in a huge car wreck and he owned a movie theater. He is forced to rely on family and friends to get by. The whole town is on the down turn and maybe just maybe the theater can save the day.

Set in the Midwest it was hard to relate to being from the Pacific Northwest near Seattle I had a hard time relating to the culture. Its not a bad thing and I have read plenty of books in the past that I could find something to relate to but not this one.

As I said early it is probably a perfect book for many. Yet I struggled. I hope I can revisit it with an open mind someday.
