The writing itself was beautiful and descriptive. Unfortunately, hardly anything happened throughout the entire first half of the book. I ended up DNF’ing after the first half. Basically, the story consists of a man who had an accident that caused him to lose his memory for the most part. The whole first half is him talking to different characters in the book about unnecessary things that don’t have much to do with anything. I found that I didn’t care about any of the characters and wished something bad would happen just so that there could be some sort of plot to the book. My dad also attempted to read it and was not able to finish it either. We looked up spoilers to see if anything ends up happening and it didn’t seem like it did. If you don’t mind a book driven purely by characters and not at all by plot, you may enjoy the writing style at least.
