Based on reading other reviews of this book, I had wanted to love it. I really did. But ultimately the book fell a little flat for me.

The cover and summary caught my eye. The writing style was beautiful most of the time. And the character development was fabulous. The characters he created were unique and quirky, which made you like them or relate to them easily. You really felt like you were a part of this small town while reading this book. Main character Virgil suffers a traumatic brain injury, and this is pretty much the story of his recovering his life, memories and more.

Unfortunately, the book itself was just too slow for me. I had to really push myself to pick the book up and keep reading.
