This is a nice tale about a once booming town now gone to seed . All the townspeople tend to be on the quirky side,some endearing and some a little shifty.I pretty much had a grin on my face while reading because of the unusual characters and the wonderful descriptions .The author's writing draws you in to care about these people,and gives insight to small town life in the Midwest.The name of the book however does not give you a clue as to what the book is about.Virgil Wander is one of the characters but it could just as well been titled Nadine or Bjorn or Rune or Jerry Faldeen.Jerry was the shocker and I want to know what happens next with these people.So Mr Leig Enger ,how about it,where is Mr Leer,what was it about the kites?And more.....
