I was very excited for this book living in the Midwest craving a small-town character driven story. This book had a premise that I found so interesting but what lacked for me was the writing. The writing was very intricate and just not for me. I prefer in character driven stories when the writing gets to the point. I still need to be entertained and inserting flowery descriptions and what I thought was "all over the place" writing was not what I wanted. I think this book would be good for someone who may enjoy more sophisticated writing and prefers slow burning stories. I will definitely be passing this one along to someone who may enjoy it more.
