I'm part of the rare few who didn't fall in love with this book. This is my first time reading anything by this author (who seems to have quite a following) and I feel let down. I really thought I was going to enjoy this one but it fell flat for me. I might have to revisit it in the future and see if maybe it will feel different but for now I'll have to mark it is "did not finish." I just couldn't get through the story. I kept re-reading parts over and over and eventually I lost interest.
The first look was amazing and I just expected more of that but the story moved so slowly, I couldn't pay attention. I can see why people like this book so much. There are lots of characters, not too much action, and the setting is well done. The writing is great and the story is good, but it's not interesting to me at the moment.
