This was my first book that I have read by Leif Enger. I can honestly say that I am now a huge fan and am already planning on my next book to read the he has authored. His creative and descriptive way of developing characters and setting the scene for where various scenes are taking place is breathtaking.
As a person that grew up myself, I found myself relating characters in the story to people in my own hometown. Some of the characters could have easily fit into where I grew up. As a result, I found myself becoming invested in the characters and the town. What a wonderful book!
