I felt this was a book where not a lot happened. However, I still enjoyed it, which is not always the case. The story revolves around the main character, but really it is about the entire town, where there is a whole cast of characters and various side stories.

I found the town, the main character, and the other people in the town very charming. It almost reminded me of Stars Hollow, from Gilmore Girls. Everyone was mostly nice, everyone was a little quirky.

Is it all sunshine and rainbows? Absolutely not. There are some dark events happening in the novel, and the story opens with an almost fatal car crash. I found myself constantly wondering how the different storylines would come together, if they would come together, and what would happen next.

Is this book a gripping page-turner? No, but it still has a lot of things going for it, and is a great read to read on a lazy day by the lake or ocean.
