Virgil Wander by Leif Enger...a much anticipated book and for good reason. That first paragraph started the story off strong. Intelligent and beautiful..an interesting intriguing flow.
Virgil Wander doesn't know what happened. What he does know is that he almost died in Lake Superior, where his car landed, if it hadn't been for the man that saved his life. That man, Marcus Jetty..the guy that runs Greenstone Salvage and Tinker. Already great character development of the most unique characters that I have read so far....interested to see if there are more to this quirky tale. Did I mention that Virgil Wander is a bit of a curmudgeon. My favorite word because it's my favorite type of people. To me this book is going to be a gem if only for their characters and what they bring to this story...and that excites me greatly!!
