My first impression of this book is that it contains some really beautiful writing. The wordplay is delightful to read. Virgil's confusion but lack of alarm about what has happened to him is a refreshing take on the amnesia concept. I can't wait to read more about his friend Beeman as well. A man who buys a small car just to see how people react when he gets his large frame out of it sounds like a hoot. The cover is atmospheric and enchanting as well.
