My dad told me something the day my son was to take care of me. If I can't take care of myself, how can I take care of another person? That stuck with me throughout my son's infant stage as well as the grade school age he is now. There are so many phases of childhood and I'm learning things about myself that I never knew. Parenting is challenging and it's good to have a guide especially when you do not have family around to help. I am always looking for ways to better myself because bettering myself means bettering my child and giving him the guidance he needs.
