As a grandmother and and mother; I watched with fascination different parenting styles, so I was eager to read this book by an author I had not heard of or read previously. I think parents need support and different methods to get them over the hump of each Childs growth stages. This book was easy to understand and provided great tips for parents. The advice was a plus for all caregivers of a child, grandparents as well as parents. The book helped you with tips to connect thru play, compassion and moments planned with your child. But interaction, also is a time to be a great listener; and great advice was given to balance the listening with moments of helping your child thru stages of growth. I loved that the author spoke specifically to the fact the the parent is in charge of safety of the child and that never should be compromised. All in all the book gave great advice.
