I like the way the book begins by focusing on the parent. We all need to sit down occasionally and remind ourselves of what is most important to us, what our strengths and weaknesses are, etc. I agree that until we know ourselves better and can model certain behaviors to our children, one won’t be as effective as a parent or grandparent. My children are grown, but I know this book would be of value to my daughter and her husband and to my husband and Inas grandparents also. This would be a valuable book for many.
