"The Vagabonds" storyline has a little bit of the same vibes as the television show "The 100," so if that's your thing this seems like the kind of book you might want to give a chance. Think a futuristic space/sci-fi story centered around young folks. But this goes a lot deeper.

I thought the prologue did a great job of starting off the world-building right away in just a brief passage, and the following chapter does more of the same. I didn't need to stretch to imagine the world we're supposed to be thinking of because the author clearly outlined it in a really accessible (and very well-written) manner. That's something I always appreciate in a sci-fi book that many authors can't do effectively.

That being said, I didn't feel like the start of the book really pulled me in and hooked me into the story.
