I've heard great things and have been meaning to check this book out, but unfortunately it must have gotten lost in the mail/never shipped, because I never received it! I was very intrigued by the premise, however, and am extremely grateful for what feels like an uptick in translated science fiction coming to the US from China and other parts of Asia (thanks, Cixin Liu!). This one looks slow-paced and introspective, something I'll probably grab from the library when the days get shorter and my reading stints get longer, days when I can sit and get absorbed by a slower-paced science fiction story. Others' reviews have been helpful in setting my expectations for what kind of story this will be - it's not an adventure-packed space opera, but something that explores societal constructs and requires some more reflection. I'm in!
