When I saw that this "first look" was for a Chinese sci-fi novel, I really had my doubts about whether this would be something I could see myself reading. Combine that with the fact that this is a translated version of the original novel, and I was sure that this might be a more complicated read than it ended up being. While this is not my preferred genre, after reading the "first look," I can see where "Vagabonds" will appeal to many readers. Very unique and interesting concept, for sure!
