The cover was unique enough that I noticed it, but was bland in my opinion. Having read the first impression, I'm not sure how the cover relates to the actual story. If I saw it on a shelf, I would definitely bypass it. The summary of the book is what caught my attention, so I was excited to read the first impression. The first impression was interesting because during some moments I wanted to know more and then in other moments it just wasn't grabbing my attention. I'm curious enough to see if the story picks up a few chapters in since this first impression is focused on world building.
