The premise sounds interesting but if I am basing the whole quality of the story, I would say this book will bore me to tears. If this were nonfiction, I wouldn't mind the writing style which I thought was too technical and scientific sounding. It felt like I was reading a reaction paper to a journal reading. Also, the first 8 pages were rife with too much information. That was too much to take in. I get that the world had to be set but I would've appreciated it done by bits and not the info dumping that happened.
