Firstly, I loved how the story begins with being told from the ship’s point of view, as in the ship’s history and what came before its birth. It made for a very interesting background. The concept of colonies being started on Mars is really intriguing and almost possible for the future. I can already see that there is real-life colonization being referenced in that the colonies are dependent on the originating country but wish to be independent. I can’t wait to see what the students feel after experiencing both Mars and Earth.
